Best Products for Bibliophiles

While the best products for bibliophiles are obviously books and really any reading material, there are products that can make our favorite pastime, reading, even more enjoyable (as with any hobby). Bibliophiles can enjoy modern graphics and technology while keeping the authenticity of a physical book. Below are a couple of products bookworms will find useful or truly love.

The Ladies of Literature Calendar

A beautifully and intricately decorated calendar can liven up a desk space or room, but a calendar with influential and genius women authors on it…look out! From Charlotte Bronte to Judy Blume, each month is assigned to an influential female author and has a quote from one of her most influential works.

Bibliophile:An Illustrated Miscellany

by Jane Mount

I am a proud owner of this book about books (and book stores and authors and genres and pets of book lovers). It is a colorful, breath of fresh air to the literary scene. Bibliophile is lightheartedly informative about the most beautiful covers in history, authors’ personal preferences, and unique book stores in all corners of the world.

Reusable Book Tote

a lot of bookstores sell them near the register, but Etsy has some great options for shipping (especially during the pandemic we are currently in)

If there is one thing I know about bibliophiles it’s that we do not want to admit when we are buying too many books. Even if fifteen or more books strike our fancy, we will attempt to carry them all to make the impression that we have the issue under control. What our extremely full arms really tell the world is that, “No, we do not have it all together. We have this wonderful problem of wanting a lot of books. Could you please either give me a hand or buy me a bag I could take with me to the bookstore every time I go?”.

From the Library of… Stickers/Stamps

Book worms hate when someone borrows a book and does not return it. Mark your territory with a personalized sticker or stamp.

Author Spotlight: Kimberly Brubaker Bradley

Kimberly Brubaker Bradley At my school, I am a Library Leader. (Library Leaders promote reading in the middle school and recommend books for the younger grades.) The Library Leaders had the fortunate opportunity of eating lunch and meeting with Kimberly Brubaker Bradley. We got to ask her questions and just talk with her. Mrs. Bradley also spoke to the whole seventh and eighth grade in assembly about her research. 1)      When/How does she write? Mrs. Bradley writes in the morning, but this depends on her chores for the day. She got into her routine when her children, now graduating college and out of college, were small and went to school. She would always wait until her husband took them to drop them off at school. She likes for her writing space to be very quiet. She prefers typing when she when she writes as to writing. (This may be pretty common; I do not know what the common format among writers is today. I just thought I would include eve...

Reading and writing, reading and writing, reading and writing: that's what I hope to keep doing all summer (with some swimming and seeing friends mixed in there too!). Here's another review! This is Stuart Turton's The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle,  and it's a doozy.  SUMMARY THE RULES OF BLACKHEATH Evelyn Hardcastle will be murdered at 11:00 p.m. There are eight days and eight witnesses for you to inhabit. We will only let you escape once you tell us the name of the killer. Understood? Then let's begin... Evelyn Hardcastle WILL die. And every day Aiden Bishop WILL try to identify her killer and break this neverending cycle he has somehow found himself in. But every time a new day begins, Aiden inhabits the body of a different guest at Blackheath. Some of Aiden's hosts will be more helpful than others.
